My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1592

Joe paused for a moment when he saw a woman blocking the road.

There was something vaguely familiar about her. He felt as though he had seen her somewhere before.

"Mr. Martin, I'll go check it out!" The driver opened the door and stepped out.

After speaking with the woman for a few moments, the driver returned to the car, his face full of disbelief.

"Mr. Martin, she says her name is Elsie Shepard. She claims she has something very important to discuss with you and that she's been waiting here for hours just to get a chance to speak with you," the driver reported.

Upon hearing this, Joe looked outside again at Elsie. She was soaked to the bone.

Upon closer inspection, he remembered where he had seen her before. She was the secretary who worked for Alban. But why would she need to see him?

"Mr. Martin?" The driver hesitated, uncertain of Joe's intent as he neither moved nor spoke.

After all, many people tried various tricks to get Joe's attention. Those who worked closely with him had seen it all.

However, this was the first time someone like Elsie had intercepted him on his way home, which made the situation somewhat baffling.

Joe finally spoke. "Let her come over."

The driver nodded in acknowledgment and was about to invite her into the car. But as he opened the door, Joe added, "No need to invite her inside." So, he lowered the car window.

The message was clear-he didn't want her in the car.

The driver nodded in understanding and didn't find it surprising.

Apart from himself, only Skylar and Paul had ever sat in this car. Joe was a known germaphobe.

When Elsie heard the driver relay the instructions, her expression stiffened.

Standing in the rain, she glanced at the half-lowered car window, momentarily taken aback.

It was raining heavily, yet Joe refused to let her into the car, leaving her outside in the downpour. What could she, a woman, possibly do to him? Was he afraid she'd dirty his car?

He was so heartless, so cold.

Through the half-open window, Elsie fixed her gaze on Joe's flawless profile as she bit her lip gently.

"I didn't block your way to disrupt

your plans intentionally, Mr. Martin. I just... I had no other choice. I

know if you believe in

reincarnation-where some

relives their life starting a few years back-but that's what happened to me," she began.

Upon hearing this, Joe's sharp gaze immediately locked onto Elsie. That look sent a chill down her spine.

A deep dear coursed through her, making her entire body tremble involuntarily. And her face turned pale. She couldn't tell if it was from being completely drenched or from that piercing look.

It was as if his gaze could see through every thought in her mind, leaving her feeling completely exposed.

Fear began to spread uncontrollably in her heart. But she couldn't back down, couldn't retreat or avoid this confrontation because she wasn't the one in the wrong.

"Mr. Martin, you may find this unbelievable or think I'm spouting nonsense, but this isn't a story, nor am I saying this to get your attention.

"I have been reincarnated. I knownoveldrama

that Mrs. Martin has also been

reincarnated. In the previous life, she

died long ago—tormented to death by her own biological parents and family. She never had any connection with you.

"As for me, I met you around this time in my past life. You saved me from Mr. Rowe's clutches."
