Chapter 878
"Enough. You're completely mad. Tania is the real daughter of the Hoffmans. Your birth mother took someone else's child and left you in her place. "You stole what was rightfully Tania's, but did Tania ever hold it against you? Even when Tania returned to the Hoffmans, you still remained their esteemed daughter. Did anyone ever treat you unfairly?"
Jordan looked at Layla's twisted expression, and he was filled with hatred. He knew that Layla had never let go of her grudge against Tania. He was now more convinced of what Sean had said.
Layla knew where Tania was, and she had something to do with what happened to her.
"Do you know where Tania is?"
"Of course, I know. How could I not? But the more you care about her, the less likely I'll tell you," Layla sneered, pain shooting through her kneecap. Despite the intense pain, she stubbornly refused to spill the beans.
"It's been three years, and you're only now thinking of looking for Tania. Aren't you worried that she's long dead? Ha, Tania died three years ago!" "You're asking to die!"
The door was suddenly kicked open, and Peter stood in the doorway, his sharp eyes fixed on Layla. "If she's dead, I'll bury you and your mother in prison alongside her!"
Peter strode over, and with a swift motion, there was a sickening crack as he snapped Layla's arm.noveldrama
"Ahh! Peter, you devil! You won't die a peaceful death!" Layla's agonized screams echoed through the room. "I still won't tell you! If you've got the guts, kill me! Go on, kill me!"
"I won't kill you, but I'll make sure you wish you were dead." Peter grabbed her other arm, his gaze chilling.
Jordan quickly intervened, saying, "Peter, stop."
Peter squinted at him. "Can't bear to see it?"

Jordan pressed his lips together. "You want to know where Tania is right? Leave it to me. I promised'i make her talk. Just stop hurting her."
After all, Layla was still his wife. Though he did not love her, he could not just stand by and watch her be tortured to death.
Peter released her, then stood up and glared at the trembling Layla who was crumpled on the ground. "Whether you talk or not, I'll find out. Your life or death means nothing to me"
Layla's heart trembled. She reached out with a shaking hand and clutched at Jordan's clothes.
"Jordan..."
"Mr. Lennon, I need you to leave the room," Peter said, casting a sidelong glance at Jordan before turning his attention back to Layla. He smirked. "How many months along are you?"
Layla's face turned pale with terror as she looked up. Despite the darkness, she could clearly see the cold menace in Peter's eyes.
Seeing Layla's frightened expression, Peter shot a knowing glance at Jordan before turning and walking out.
Only when Peter had left did Jordan
feel a sense of relief. He helped Layla up and stared firmly into her eyes. "You know what Peter is capable of. I won't stand by and let you die because you're my wife.
"If you tell me where Tania is, I promise I'll never bring up divorce again when we return to Brookville."
What do you think?
