Chapter 506:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
As the mask slipped away, Allison’s face was revealed — stunning in its natural elegance.
No heavy makeup adorned her; just crescent-shaped brows, lips with a hint of blush, and eyes that sparkled with a captivating gleam.
A low murmur swept through the crowd, punctuated by a few whistles. The gamblers momentarily abandoned their games, transfixed by her beauty.
“Who said she was ugly? She’s more striking than Amor!”
“Wait, isn’t she…? She looks familiar.”
“You clearly don’t keep up with the news. She’s Allison, the famous perfumer from Ontdale and the new racing champion. Didn’t think she’d show up here.”
Fay’s smug expression soured instantly, her face turning a shade darker as she glared at Allison in silent rage.
“At least you look decent enough,” Fay sneered, her words dripping with disdain. “But a pretty face won’t get you far in a casino. When you lose miserably, don’t come crying to some man.”
Meanwhile, Amor noticed her entourage of men fixating on Allison. Her gaze darkened, a mix of irritation and calculation flashing across her face as she silently plotted how to dismantle Allison later.
Allison, however, paid Amor no attention. She turned to Andres and asked, “When will the chairman arrive?”
“Soon, don’t worry,” Andres replied, momentarily taken aback by the striking intensity behind her otherwise calm facade. Her face looked cold, dangerous, and beautiful in equal measures. “Before the game starts,” he continued, “both parties will need to sign a high-stakes agreement.”
Amor smirked lazily. “Naturally. In gambling, both sides must put up equal stakes.” Her gaze flickered to Allison, a hint of malice in her eyes. “Miss Scarlet Snake, once you sign, if you can’t afford to match, your life falls to the mercy of the higher stakes.”
Allison’s smile sharpened, a glint of ice flashing in her eyes. The threat in Amor’s words was unmistakable.
Everyone knew Amor’s line of work and her deep pockets. To them, Allison was just a beautiful, overconfident interloper, clearly out of her depth. Most of the onlookers waited eagerly for Allison to stumble, while a few men, charmed by her appearance, even offered their assistance.
“Hey, beautiful, if you’re short on cash, let me help you out,” a bald man with yellowed teeth leered at her.
The crowd burst into laughter, some even encouraging him with taunts.
“Yeah, miss, take his offer!”
Then, the laughter died abruptly as blood sprayed from the bald man’s neck.noveldrama
Before anyone could register what had happened, a card, flung by Allison with deadly precision, sliced through his skin.
The man staggered backward, clutching his neck, his eyes wide with terror.
“You… You…” he stammered, his voice weakening as blood seeped through his fingers.
Quickly, he scrambled away, searching frantically for help.
